Amélie Bordage is a French physicist in materials science. She studied physics and chemistry two years in the "Université du Littoral Cote d'Opale" in Calais (France) and then did a "only-physics" licence and master at "Université Pierre et Marie Curie" in Paris (France). She kept on with a PhD at the "Institut de Minéralogie et de Physique des Milieux Condensés", always at the "Université Pierre et Marie Curie" in Paris, and strongly collaborated during this time with the "Department of Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering" of the University of Pretoria. After her PhD, she worked during one year as an assistant-teacher and researcher at the "Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée", in the group of Prof. Stéphanie Rossano of the "Laboratoire Géomatériaux et Environnement". She recently joined the group as a postdoc and works mainly with the synchrotron-based spectroscopies, from both an experimental and a theoretical points of view.

Her first application for a permanent position at the CNRS after her stay in Budapest was successful:
